a. Account Information
To use the account based core features, you must create an account. Scrolo offers three ways to sign in:
- Sign in with Apple — Apple authenticates your identity and shares your name and email address (or a private relay email) with us, according to Apple's privacy practices.
- Sign in with Google — Google authenticates your identity and shares your name and email address with us, according to Google's privacy practices.
- Email + OTP — You provide your email address and we send a one-time password (OTP) to verify it. We store your email address on our own backend systems. No password is stored.
Regardless of the sign-in method, we store your email address (or Apple-provided relay address) to identify your account. We do not store passwords.
We use this information to:
- Create and secure your account
- Communicate with you about your account, if needed
b. Usage & Device Information
When you use Scrolo, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:
- Browser type, device type, operating system
- IP address, language preferences, screen size
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, app interactions

This helps us improve the performance, stability, and user experience of Scrolo.
c. Analytics & Tracking Technologies
Scrolo uses analytics and tracking technologies to understand product usage and improve our Services. Third-party services we currently use include:
These services may collect device information, browser information, usage behavior, referral sources, and anonymous usage statistics. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies.
d. Photo Library Access
The Scrolo mobile apps request access to your device's photo library for two purposes: to let you pick photos to insert into your designs (read), and to save your exported designs back to your gallery (write). The specific permissions differ by platform.
On iOS
- Read access — to pick photos from your gallery to insert into your templates and designs (permission NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription).
- Write access — to save your finished, exported designs back to your photo library (permission NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription).
- You can review or change these permissions any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
On Android
- Read access — to pick photos from your gallery to insert into your designs (permissions READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED on Android 13+, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older versions).
- Write access — to save your exported designs back to your gallery. On Android 10+ this uses the system media store with no additional permission; older versions use WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE.
- You can review or change these permissions any time in Settings → Apps → Scrolo → Permissions.
On both platforms
- Scrolo only accesses the specific photos you choose to select or save — we do not scan, index, or browse your library beyond what you select.
- All processing happens locally on your device. Your photos are not uploaded to or stored on our servers as part of this process.
e. Content Created in Scrolo
Images, carousels, designs, and templates you create using Scrolo are processed locally on your device or browser wherever possible. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use your content to train AI or machine learning models.
